Thoughts on my mind

I have a few questions on my mind. Should AAU teams travel out of state if they can’t win in their own city, especially when they’re getting beaten badly on the road? Why do so many parents seem to want success more than their kids? What percentage of parents think their child is better than they actually are skill-wise? Why do we only post about wins and not losses? If a team wins a bronze division tournament, should they share that without clarifying it’s the lowest division? These thoughts keep running through my head. What does “development” really mean to you? Would you prefer your child play limited minutes on a great team or heavy minutes on a mediocre one?

For me it would be whatever team/coach is helping my child to grow as a player. Growth is always number one for me. However that also has to come from the player, are they willing to put in the extra work to grow as an athlete. Can’t just go to practice and games and expect to get better without putting in the work on your own time.
